◉ Repair request process
Currently, there are two ways to request a repair:
Repairs can be made by requesting directly via this website, or by bringing the item to AELU GALLERY in Yoyogi-Uehara.

Please bring it directly to AELU in Yoyogi-Uehara. If you have any chipped pieces of pottery, please bring them all with you. An AELU staff member will give you a rough estimate on the spot. The estimate is free of charge.
After repair, the product will be returned to you by shipping from the store. (*Shipping fee will be charged separately.)
If you would like to pick up your order at the store, please let us know.

[How to request repair from our website]
First, please send us the following information from the inquiry mail on our website.
We will provide you with a tentative estimate. (*Quotation is free of charge.)
①Your name
②Your address
③Your contactable e-mail address
④Type and shape of the vessel.
(⑤Overall size of the vessel, and the status of damage such as cracks, breaks, chips, etc., and the size of the damaged part (in case of cracks or chips, also the presence or absence of parts)
(Example: A white ceramic mug handle has broken into four parts. (e.g., a black platter with a diameter of about 30 cm has one 3 cm square rim missing a part)
⑥Finishing request (please refer to “Finishing” for more information)
⑦Please send us a clear picture of the entire vessel and the damaged part. (Please send us two pictures showing the damage from the bottom of the inquiry form.
Please contact us after filling out the above. We will provide you with a tentative estimate.
After confirming the tentative estimate, please send us the requested item(s). *Please note that the client is responsible for the round-trip shipping costs.
We will look at the actual item you sent us and provide a formal estimate and estimated delivery time, so please make a final decision on how to proceed with the repair.
You may cancel your order at this point, as the price may change from the tentative estimate.
Once we begin the formal repair, we currently require about one year (or longer in some cases) to complete the repair.
◉Please check before making a request
・We are currently only accepting repairs for ceramics. *We are not currently accepting repairs for glass or wooden vessels.
・Please remove as much dirt as possible from the vessels before sending them.
・We will only respond to inquiries by email, so please make sure you are able to receive email replies from us.
・Please note that we may not be able to repair your item depending on the damage, the shape of the vessel, and the type of glaze.
- Please note that after repairs, the item cannot be used in the dishwasher or microwave.
